SAUVIE ISLAND STABLES DAY CAMPS ARE A FULL DAY EXPERIENCE WHERE THE CHILDREN ARE OUTSIDE SOAKING UP THE FRESH AIR AND NATURE.
JOIN US FOR A DAY OF EXPLORATION ON OUR 70 ACRES. OUR DAY WOULD INCLUDE INTRODUCTORY HORSE RIDING, GOATS, SEASONAL CRAFTS, AND UNSTRUCTURED PLAY.
DAY CAMPS ARE OUTSIDE RAIN OR SHINE. CHILDREN SHOULD WEAR APPROPRIATE OUTDOOR GEAR WITH LAYERS FOR OUR ALWAYS CHANGING WEATHER.

Intro to Horse Camp
(Ages 6-12)
This fun and engaging camp is perfect for young riders who have never been around horses or have limited experience. Your child will enjoy learning the basics of horse care, including grooming, tacking up, and basic safety around horses. Each day will also include riding lessons where campers will get comfortable on horseback, learning the fundamentals of steering and balance in a safe, supportive environment. Whether your child is completely new to horses or has just started, this camp is designed to foster confidence and build excitement for horseback riding.

KIDS’ SUMMER CAMP
Beginner Rider Camp
(Ages 7-12)
This camp is ideal for children who already have some experience riding and are ready to take their skills to the next level! Campers in this group will be able to steer and walk independently, and will have the opportunity to refine their riding technique with the help of our experienced instructors. As well as riding lessons, participants will continue to develop their horse care knowledge, including leading, grooming, and saddling up. The camp focuses on building independence and confidence, allowing each rider to progress at their own pace while having fun with new friends and their equine companions.
