KIDS SUMMER CAMP
Intro to Horse Camp
Ages 6–12
This introductory horse camp is designed for children who are new to horses or have limited prior experience and are excited to learn in a relaxed, fun, and supportive farm environment. Campers will be introduced to the basics of horsemanship, including grooming, tacking up, and understanding safe behavior around horses.
While horses are a central part of our days, this camp is intentionally well-rounded and not solely focused on riding. Campers will enjoy a balance of structured learning and unstructured fun, including free play in the fields, spending time with our friendly goats, creative crafts, and farm-based activities that encourage imagination, movement, and connection to animals.
Riding time is designed to be positive and confidence-building. Each day includes approximately one hour of supervised riding activities, with each child receiving two turns on horseback per day. Riding focuses on comfort, balance, and basic steering in a calm, age-appropriate setting.
This camp is ideal for children who are curious about horses and farm life, enjoy hands-on learning, and want a fun outdoor experience.
Please note: This is an introductory camp. While campers will ride daily, the primary goal is exposure, confidence, and enjoyment rather than advanced riding skills.
